Today, I was originally supposed to go on a business trip to Qionglai. However, the unexpected inspection activity at the unit suddenly cancelled this plan. This unexpected change, like an invisible force, disturbed the peace in my heart, making me feel uncomfortable and leading me into deep thinking.
In this noisy world, we are often troubled by various trivial matters, busily running between life and work. We look forward to the smooth progress of the plan and long for everything to move along the established track. However, just as it is said in the Heart Sutra: "Form is precisely emptiness, and emptiness is precisely form." Changes in life are as unpredictable and unresistible as the void.
When the plan is disrupted, we may feel depressed and disappointed, but this is precisely the test given to us by life. As the Diamond Sutra says, "All conditioned dharmas are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows; like dew and lightning, they should be regarded in this way." This sentence tells us that everything in the world is so short and impermanent, like dreams, illusions, bubbles, and shadows that are illusory and unsubstantial.
In the face of this change, I should learn to let go of my obsessions in my heart and accept this unchangeable fact. There is no need to be obsessed with the original plan, but to face the ups and downs of life with a peaceful state of mind.
This also makes me think of the meaning of practice. Practice is not just reciting scriptures and sitting in meditation in the temple, but also honing our state of mind in every bit of life. When faced with difficulties and changes, can we maintain inner peace and composure? Can we treat everything around us with tolerance and compassion?
Every experience in life is an opportunity for growth. This change in the plan makes me understand the truth of the impermanence of things in the world more, and also makes me cherish every present more. Whether it is busy work or trivial life, we should experience and feel it wholeheartedly.
Finally, I would like to use a sentence from the Heart Sutra as the ending: "Without obstructions, there will be no fear, and one will be far away from deluded dreams and ultimately reach nirvana." May we all let go of the obsessions in our hearts, no longer be troubled by troubles, face all the changes in life with a peaceful state of mind, and move towards inner peace and liberation.
